This sewing ruler is a 6 inch long aluminum gauge with a red sliding guide. Use it to quickly and consistently measure short spaces when sewing or quilting. Measuring correctly can have an enormous impact on the look of any sewing project!

You can set the measurement with the spacer and easily and quickly measure ⅝”, ¼” or ¾” hems or seam allowances. Long tape measures can easily get in the way when making these short measurements. The risk of making mistakes is much greater with regular sewing or quilting rulers. The set plastic spacer is a life saver here!

Uses

  • Pre-determine the dimension of a seam, a seam allowance or a hem

  • Mark the distances between button holes, pleats or embellishments and transfer them fast and precisely

This little lightweight gauge is the perfect size to throw in your bag and take to your sewing class or retreat!

Sebastian ★★★★★

I use this for checking seam allowances and hem widths – the red slider locks in place securely, so I don't have to keep measuring over and over. It's lightweight but sturdy, and the clear markings make it easy to read.

Brian Y. ★★★★★

Measuring quilt bindings used to take forever with a tape measure slipping all over the place. This little aluminum gauge sits flat and the 6 inch length covers most of my seam allowances in one pass. The slider hasn't budged after a few weeks of near-daily use.

Joshua ★★★★★

I sew a lot of small quilt blocks and this little aluminum gauge has been way more useful than I expected. The red slider lets me set a width once and mark seam after seam without grabbing a tape every time. Six inches is plenty for the short measurements I do most.
